DAY 01 - Guwahati - Kaziranga
Arrive Guwahati airport and transfer to Kaziranga (250 Kms / 5 hrs drives). Check in Hotel. Overnight in Kaziranga.
DAY 02 - Kaziranga
Early morning elephant ride (Starts from 5 A.M.) for an hour. Wake up call half an hour before the ride. Return for breakfast. After lunch one jeep safari. Overnight in Kaziranga.
DAY 03 - Kaziranga – Shillong
After breakfast drive to Shillong (325 kms / 7 hrs drive). Check in at hotel. Overnight in Shillong.
Meghalaya – the “Land of Clouds” driving via Barapani, Umiam Lake. Later check in at the hotel for 02 nights.Overnight at the hotel.
Meghalaya, swaddled amidst wraith-like mists is aptly called “the abode of clouds”.It is one of India’s prettiest states inhabited by the Khasis, Jaintias and Garos. It isknown for its matrilineal society, which governs lineage and ancestral inheritancethrough the female line. It stands out for its traditional and natural beauty amongthe other states. Its historical strengths have been irreversibly linked with itssuperlative natural setting.
DAY 04: Shillong – Cherrapunjee
Post breakfast drive to Cherrapunjee (55 kms/ 1 ½ hrs), 1300mt – once the heaviestrainfall area in the world. The drive will give us a spectacular view of deep gorgesand the rolling hills luxurious with tropical vegetation that boast an innumerablevariety of ferns, moss andorchids. At Cherrapunjee, we explore the Mawsmai cave,Nohkalikai Falls, Nohsngithiang Falls, Eco Park at Mawsmai, etc. Enroute visitMawphlang Sacred Forest, Elephant falls and Shillong Peak.
DAY 05: Cherrapunjee- Shillong
After breakfast drive to Shillong (60 Kms / 2 hrs drive). Check in hotel. Later visit Ward’s lake, police bajar (Mon to Saturday) Don Bosco Monument, Botanical Garden and Lady Hydri Park (Monday to Saturday). Overnight in Shillong.
DAY 06: Shillong- Guwahati
After breakfast transfer to Guwahati airport. .
